Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 10 Most Hated Supporting Characters

1. Madeline Wuntch

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Jason Stentley
NBC

The Vulture had one nickname that perfectly suited him, but Madeline Wuntch was given a whole host of colourful names from Captain Holt. From a talking raisin, to a rotted jack-o-lantern, even to a Chusekin, a Korean toilet ghost, Holt was never shy about insulting his immediate superior.

The two had a personal rivalry with each other that saw them constantly trying to out-do, embarrass and one-up one another. It was petty, childish, and bought out the worst in each of them. It didn't even stop after Madeline passed away.

On more than one occasion Wuntch played with Holt's career for nothing more than a game. She removed him as Captain twice, firstly to a PR position he didn't want, and secondly, she demoted him to a beat cop, since because he was promoted so fast he didn't complete his mandatory six months on the streets. Only Wuntch could take what should have been a great achievement and punish him for it.

In Wuntch's time as a high ranking NYPD officer, she spent what seemed like far too much of her time working against her colleagues in the 99th precinct. She was petty, arrogant, and put Holt's unhappiness over her own happiness. Pick anything Holt ever called her, and it doesn't seem too inaccurate under the circumstances
