Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 10 Things You Completely Missed From Season One
7. What Liver?
In the fourth episode, M.E. Time, Peralta falls for the super-hot medical examiner, Dr. Rossi. When her work suffers because of their relationship, Peralta tries to help her by assisting with an autopsy. Even though Peralta is easily grossed out, he's obliged to makes things right since it was his fault and, more importantly, he's promised all of the sex.
During the autopsy, Rossi asks Peralta to examine the scarring on the corpse's liver. Peralta peers into the body's interior, confirms the examiner's findings, which helps him solve the case.
But there's one little inconsistency. How the hell did Peralta look at the liver inside the body... if we saw him holding the liver two minutes earlier? Does the corpse have two livers?
Like any sitcom, Brooklyn 99 is filled all sorts of errors. In every episode, you can see a cop wearing the wrong badge or a boom mic popping into shot for a split-second. But considering this mistake could've been easily fixed by cutting the shot of Peralta holding the liver, it's baffling nobody on set picked up on it.
