Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

12. Norm Scully

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Amy Santiago
Fox

As noted, Hitchcock and Scully are a package deal. They're rarely apart, work brilliantly off one another thanks to their shared love for food and laziness, and their love for each other is as sweet as it is hilarious.

But of the two, Scully feels like the only one who could work solo. Just look at his relationship with Cindy Shatz, which kicked off in the show's fourth season and allowed Scully to show off just how hilariously naive and sweet-natured he can be.

Unlike Hitchcock, Scully is an undeniable ray of sunshine, full of love, unapologetically himself and endearing in his strangeness. His development hasn't been as consistent or compelling as those around him, but all told Detective Scully is an integral part of the series, and things wouldn't be the same without him or his napping schedule.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
