Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Worst Episode From Every Season

6. Season Two - Lockdown

Season two of Brooklyn Nine-Nine stays consistent for the most part but has a few duds in it. This episode is far from being one of the show's worst, but it is a noticeably weak point in the second season.

"Lockdown" was an episode that - predictably - saw the Ninety-Ninth Precinct become closed off on Thanksgiving after being sent a package possibly filled with a dangerous chemical. Jake is left in charge of managing the lockdown, and he does a poor job of it. Also, Holt and Terry work at the Jeffords house but deal with Terry's rude brother-in-law, Zeke.

Part of this episode's issue is that it reverts to old habits - which says a lot seeing as this is only the second season. Watching Jake make mistakes and struggle to take advice before finally learning his lesson is something fans had seen plenty of times before, and often better than this.

Plus, while the introduction of Zeke was entertaining, the ending message felt out of place. So, in the end, the moral is to have your boss pretend to be mean so you can bond with your brother-in-law over a lie? That doesn't sound particularly healthy and very out of character for Nine-Nine's typical approach of honesty and communication. How confusing!
