Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Worst Characters Who Appeared After Season One
3. Kendra Young
Over the course of the show, we're introduced to a number of Slayers aside from Buffy. Kendra turns up in the middle of Season 2, and she's immediately insufferable.
First of all, the accent. Kendra is supposed to have a Jamaican accent, but it's so over the top that you can't take her seriously. She comes across as a whiny, holier-than-thou Slayer with a complete lack of self-awareness. And to make matters worse, Kendra starts her career in Sunnydale by locking up one of the most likeable characters in the show: Angel.
To be fair, the writers did have a legitimate reason for including her. Kendra's obsession with the rules sheds light on Buffy's more relaxed attitude towards her destiny. But when compared with the Buffy-Faith relationship in Season 3, Kendra is just a joke.
When Drusilla murdered her in the penultimate episode of Season 2, no one was sorry to see her go.
