Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Worst Characters Who Appeared After Season One

2. Veruca

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Veruca
The WB

Introduced in the early stages of Season 4, Veruca’s villainy tears apart the Willow-Oz relationship in the space of a single episode.

Like Oz, Veruca is a werewolf, but she embraces her animalistic nature much more than he does. She appears to actively enjoy her transformations, and even when she's human, Veruca doesn't have any redeeming qualities.

In other words, you'd struggle to find a more insufferable woman in Sunnydale, yet she's the one who causes Willow and Oz to break off their relationship. She doesn't play any other role in the story, either –  that's her sole purpose.

The only acceptable thing about her time on the show is her death scene. After the pair of them transform into werewolves again, Oz ends her life by biting into her throat.

Better late than never, but Veruca should never have been part of the show in the first place.
