19. Tara Is Family
Up until season five's Family, we weren't totally sure we could trust Willow's girlfriend Tara but this episode turned that suspicion on its head by revealing that Tara was a victim of an abusive father.
In the episode's emotional final scene, the Scoobies stick up for Tara and order the foul man out of his daughter's life for good.
The moment is such an affecting one as it is the first time that Tara feels truly accepted into the Scooby Gang. More than that, it also affirms how Buffy and her friends have formed their own familiar bond that is thicker than blood.
