7. The Raising Of Vampires
"To make you a vampire they have to suck your blood. And then you have to suck their blood. It's like a whole big sucking thing. Mostly they're just gonna kill you." The whole neck sucky business is the accepted method of creating vampires in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but what if there's actually a different explanation?Since Sunnydale is situated on the Hellmouth, this theory suggests that all humans drained of blood while in the town will be turned purely by the energy from it. This is used to explain just how come there are so many vampires rising from the dead to fight Buffy, as they've been killed by other vamps who didn't know that they would be turned regardless of whether they sucked back or not.
