Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 8 Most Outrageous Fan Theories You Won't Believe

2. Dracula Was Sent To Create Dawn

Dracula made an appearance in Sunnydale right at the beginning of season 5, with the most legendary of vampires turning out to be 'real' and coming to town to face off with the Slayer. He claims that he had to see her power for himself, but what if there was more of a reason to it than that? It's theorised that the actual reason The Count showed up is because he was sent there by the Monks of Dagon, who needed some of Buffy's blood in order to create Dawn. There's some logic to this, as this episode is the one that introduces Buffy's younger sister right at the very end, after she has fought Dracula, although that would mean the Monks worked very quickly. Unless they altered the memory of fighting the Prince of Darkness as well.
