1. Joss Whedon's Shared Universe
There are a lot of shared universe theories out there, from all Pixar movies existing in one world to Machete and Spy Kids sharing a universe, and the works of Joss Whedon are no exception. This is to do with the creation of Slayers, the Watchers who control them, and the various shadowy organisations that appear throughout his TV shows and movies. Essentially it means that all of these organisations - The Watchers Council, The Initiative, Wolfram & Hart, The Alliance, The Rossum Corporation and more - have been working together in order to save humanity. Obviously the best way to do this is via having a Slayer, and this is why so many experiments were done to River Tam, with the intention of her coming the latest Slayer. Compared to some of the other shared universe theories, it's not the craziest idea, and certainly all of Whedon's work shares similar themes and ideas, but it's a bit like saying Glory wasn't all that crazy when compared to Drusilla. Do you know any other Buffy theories that deserve mention here? Share your own in the comments thread below.
