Buffy The Vampire Slayer Cast: Where Are They Now?

Even though it ended over 12 years ago, Buffy The Vampire Slayer remains firmly in the minds and the hearts of its legion of loyal fans, and a massive part of television and pop-culture. A lot of that is down to the writing of Joss Whedon, who painted relatable characters and issues, strong females, made vampires cool again, and gave us the sort of hilarious, snappy dialogue that would become a huge feature of billion dollar movies. 

However, the success can't be attributed to Whedon alone, and credit must go to the ones who really brought his work to life: the cast. Buffy was largely a mix of bright young things, with only one old Head thrown in there to guide them through it.

Over the years they had to convincingly deliver a lot of different emotions and drama, pull off some fantastic action sequences, and of course nail these one-liners that the creator has become so famous for. Despite their relative inexperience, they managed it with stunning success.

While there were some excellent recurring characters, such as Kristine Sutherland as Joyce Summers, and guest stars who've since gone on to become household names (did you know Amy Adams appeared in one episode?), it's the main cast who deserve the focus as we look back on those who saved the world (a lot), and this is where they are now. 

The Role: 'Dark' slayer Faith Lehane across 20 episodes of the show, recurring in season 3 and 7, with a guest role in season 4. Though never technically a main character, she's certainly memorable enough to warrant a place on this list. 

Where Is She Now? Dushku has had a couple of attempts at starring in her own TV series since Buffy ended, although neither totally successful. She jumped straight from Sunnydale into another supernatural drama, Tru Calling, which lasted for just two seasons and 27 episodes. 

She sought a reunion with Joss Whedon in the hopes of launching her own vehicle, Dollhouse, but again that lasted for just two seasons before cancellation, although it did gain something of a cult following. Dushku was also approached about doing a Faith spin-off show, but turned the opportunity down. 

She has recently spent time voicing She-Hulk on a couple of animated Marvel shows, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. and Ultimate Spider-Man. Later this year she'll be starring in the film Jane Wants a Boyfriend, about a young woman with Asperger's trying to find her first love. 

She'll also be seen in an episode of Banshee next year, and the film Eloise, which is directed by Oscar-winning visual effects artist Robert Legato, and is about a group of friends who break into an abandoned insane asylum in search of a death certificate, which will grant one of them a large inheritance.
