Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Every Season 2 Episode Ranked

Season two, as noted, has a bit of a ponderous start, struggling to differentiate itself from its predecessor with a handful of too-silly monster-of-the-week adventures that leaves little mark on the overarching story.

The worst of these early flops is Inca Mummy Girl, which finds Buffy face-to-face with a Peruvian exchange student who turns out to be a cursed mummy after Xander falls head over heels for her.

Though it tries to wring some emotion from its doomed romance story, the episode languishes thanks to its poor humour and action, and its central conflict is almost hilariously weak. On the plus side, it does introduce Oz, so it's not all bad.
