18. Bad Eggs
Right after Ted - another episode about parenting gone wrong - Bad Eggs follows the gang as they're put in charge of eggs for health class which turn out to be parasitic hosts that can control minds.
The last episode to air before the Angelus arc kicks in, it's another monster-of-the-week spectacle that struggles to find its voice amongst the season's more grown-up tone and serious subject matter.
It moves with action-packed pace and its themes about sex have consequences do form a nice, subtle connection with the next episode's big twist, but between the standalone antagonists and tepid final act, Bad Eggs falls short of its ambitions.
