Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Ranking Every Major Death Worst To Best

Buffy's second death came at the end of Season Five, when she realises she has to give her life to close Glory's portal, save her sister and the world. This was the second time the Slayer had given everything to her duty, and it was brilliant to see.

Here, Buffy knew it was the right thing to do and didn't hesitate for even a second. In giving one last speech to Dawn before her sacrifice, our beloved Slayer made it clear that it was her decision and and that she could never turn her back on doing the right thing.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was actually meant to end here, with one last lingering look at Buffy's grave, before it was picked up by another network and Buffy was resurrected for two more seasons of demon hunting adventures.

If it did end here, though, it wouldn't have been a bad way to wrap things up.
