Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Ranking The Main Characters From Weakest To Strongest

Tara (Amber Benson) was never one open to a physical confrontation. The girlfriend of Willow Rosenberg (Alyson Hannigan) and - in time - a pivotal member of the core Scooby Gang, she spends a lot of her time on the sideline, helping Willow through her toughest moments.

Following the death of Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar), Tara took to patrolling with the gang, but wasn't much use against the vampires they encountered. She does manage to kill a demon who threatens Willow, though, and because of her use of magic, she is easily a stronger opponent than either Cordelia and Xander.

Again, though, her use of magic is rarely seen in action, and what fans do see show that whilst she knows her fair amount of spells, she's not nearly as strong as Willow or the others on this list. Like the two before her, Tara's strength lies in her loyalty and intelligence, as she often comes in handy with research, making up for her limited field work.
