Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Ranking The Songs In Once More With Feeling
8. Something To Sing About
This is the most important song of the episode. It's the tune where everything goes wrong and Buffy, out of things to sing about, confesses her biggest and most devastating secret; that she wasn't in Hell like her friends believed her to be, but in Heaven. Although this fact that had been lingering for most of the episode given the fact that Buffy told her secret to Spike a couple episodes earlier, it is still incredibly shocking and painful.
Watch her friends reel from the admission is powerful TV, and it's a well documented fact that when Alyson Hannigan cries, you cry with her. Also, Sarah Michelle Gellar gets the opportunity to show off some erratic but well performed dance moves, which may have killed her if it wasn't for Spike stepping in and giving her some much-needed advice about continuing the fight.
However, despite its importance to the plot and the arc of the characters, as a song it is a touch too dreary and depressing to sing along to (if you're partial to that), so it'll have to settle here on our list.
