Casting Buffy The Vampire Slayer Reboot
11. Cole Sprouse - Riley Finn
Yes, yes, everyone hates Riley. Yes, he's the walking representation of fragile masculinity and yes, he grates. But if a reboot is happening, Riley Finn has to be there.
What the super soldier would need in a Buffy reboot would be a slight (major) increase in likability, and who better to make Riley endearing than Cole Sprouse?
Previously known as Ben on Friends and for his and his brother's sitcom The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Cole Sprouse has emerged over the last couple years as a serious and passionate actor. Sure, Riverdale is far from great, but he's easily the best part of it, serving as the show's narrator and just looking generally cool.
Remove the hat and give him a gun, Sprouse could fit the role of Riley really well. He's stern and thoughtful, looks the part and has proven as Jughead Jones to be able to do a good job with romance on-screen.
It's a win-win-win. Plus, it would be cool to see him do something with a bit more action.
