Community: 10 Best Characters Who Appeared After Season One

7. Professor Marshall Kane

Played by the late, great Michael K. Williams, Marshall Kane appears in a handful of episodes throughout Season 3 as the study group's biology professor. Kane is slowly reintroducing himself to the world after having spent 25 years in prison. As such, his class is strict, intimidating, and in typical Community fashion, hilarious.

Kane first makes his mark in the Season 3 premiere, when he expels Jeff from his class because Jeff's cell phone was too loud. Throughout the rest of the season, Kane continues to have less and less patience for the study group's antics. He fails the study group's first major bio project, and reluctantly holds a trial for their murdered yam. Kane's humour lies in the fact that he doesn't care about the ever shifting world of Greendale, living instead in actual reality.

Unfortunately, Kane quits after the fake death of Starburns, but if he had stayed around for another season, fans would have rejoiced watching his class dissect pinecones. Plus, he still never found out whatever happened to LEGOs. Before his imprisonment, they used to be so simple.
