10. Basic Lupine Urology (Season 3, Episode 17)

community-lawandorder Right from the opening moments of this episode, it's clear that Law & Order is the focus of it. From the music, the subtitles across the bottom of the screen, the titles, the narrator during the titles, everything about it makes it obvious what the feel of the episode will be. But what about the subject? The cast of characters in the show are clearly not suited for investigating a murder.... unless that happens to be the murder of a yam they're trying to grow for Biology class. The professor promises to give them a passing grade, but the perfectionist Annie insists they were going to get an A+ for their yam, so she works out a deal with him wherein if they can prove their yam washed smashed by a student, with malicious intent, they will get an A+ for their project. Best line: "Greendale Community College is represented by two separate yet equally important types of people... the goofballs that run around stirring up trouble, and the eggheads that make a big deal out of it. These are their stories."

9. Conspiracy Theories And Interior Design (Season 2, Episode 9)

ctt Dean Pelton discovers Jeff Winger has made up a class simply to get an extra credit without doing any work. Jeff claims the class does in fact exist, and offers to take the Dean and classmate Annie to meet the man who teaches it, Professor Professorson. When they arrive, the classroom is a broom closet, and Jeff is bewildered. But then, to the surprise of the Dean, a man approaches them and introduces himself as Professor Professorson. The Dean apologizes and leaves, as does the Professor. But then Jeff reveals to Annie he's never seen the man before. They suspect he may be a night school professor, and together they begin investigating Greendale's seedy night school programs. The following 20 minutes features so many mind-bending twists and double-crosses it would make Doctor Who jealous. Best line: "Someone is sending us a message. A tiny, underwhelming message."
