14. The Captain America Elevator Parody
In season six's brilliant paintball episode "Modern Espionage," Dean Pelton ends up attacked in an elevator and makes a desperate - and surprisingly effective - last stand.
The scene may be familiar to MCU fans, given that the framing and enclosed action is actually an homage to a similar scene from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where Cap (Chris Evans) destroys an elevator full of thugs.
It's especially relevant because, of course, The Winter Soldier's directors Joe and Anthony Russo cut their teeth directing numerous episodes of Community.
While they didn't direct Modern Espionage, the elevator scene nevertheless features one of the very same stunt extras who appeared in The Winter Soldier's elevator scene. Genius.
