Community: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

1. Season 2

Community TV
Sony Pictures Television

If Season 1 is the most "normal" season of Community and Season 3 is the "weirdest", then Season 2 is the happy medium between the two extremes, capturing the best of both worlds. Some of its episodes, such as Epidemiology, up the weirdness factor to eleven, giving audiences a zombie survival story. Others, such as Mixology Certification, function as really good character based sitcom episodes. Season 2 creates a world where both of these elements feel like they belong.

The season is also loaded with other spectacular episodes. Cooperative Calligraphy, Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, Paradigms of Human Memory, and the two part Western/Star Wars paintball finale A Fistfull of Paintballs and For a Few Paintballs More all rank among Community's best entries.

Season 2 is the season where Community starts to feel like itself. In taking both its character growth and wacky premises up a notch, the season maximises Community's potential. Unlike Season 1, it pushes the boundaries all the time with creative concept episodes, and unlike Season 3, those concept episodes are balanced out with more traditional sitcom stories.

Unless the movie ends up dethroning it, Season 2 will forever remain the best part of Community.
