Six seasons, but not a movie.
Cult classic sitcom Community takes place in a community college and follows the lives of a core study group. Initially started by Jeff Winger in an attempt to impress Britta Perry, the study group quickly becomes a tightly knit bunch of friends who remain close even after graduating the poorly run school.
Quickly renewed after delivering an impressive, popular debut season, it's fair to say that Community didn't ever quite reach the mainstream success of writer Dan Harmon's other big show (see: Rick and Morty). Following Community's third year, Harmon left and was replaced by new showrunners who stayed for just one season before Harmon came back to do the final two years. Often referred to as the 'gas leak year', Community Season 4 displayed a harsh drop in writing quality and character moments.
That said, the series survived and made it to the end of a sixth and final season with a satisfying conclusion to everyone's character arc. While it's been joked within the show that there might be a movie, and even hinted at by the cast and crew more recently, for now there are six seasons to watch and enjoy.
