Community: Ranking Every Character Worst To Best

3. Jeff

Community Troy Abed
Sony Pictures Television

Jeff Winger, played by Joel McHale, is simultaneously Community's leading man and a parody of the sitcom leading man. We are supposed to see the world of Greendale through his cynical, ex-lawyer eyes.

While the show is initially supposed to be all about Jeff, he works better when he supports his fellow study group members. Jeff's friendship brings out the best in everyone, as proven when the timeline where he has to get the pizza turns out to be the best timeline in Remedial Chaos Theory. As much as he doesn't want to admit it, Jeff has moments where he is a good person.

The funniest part of Jeff comes from how hard he will work to not work. He will pretend to be in Dead Poet's Society, make up a fake conspiracy theory class, and sing karaoke with the Dean all to get out of making even the slightest effort.

Any line from Jeff will make you laugh - and that's the Winger Guarantee.
