Community: Ranking Every Character Worst To Best

8. Pierce

Unfortunately, Chevy Chase's highly publicized feud with Community Creator Dan Harmon meant his days on the show were numbered. However, in his four seasons on the show, moist towelette tycoon Pierce Hawthorne makes his mark.

Pierce walks a fine line between the group's laughing stock and villain, perfectly embodied when the shot of his sitting on the Dungeons and Dragons throne comes off as both menacing and pathetic. He stands out like a sore thumb, and nearly every word that comes out of his mouth is hilariously out of place, including the now iconic "streets ahead." Pierce doesn't like being excluded, but his exclusion is always hilarious.

With his departure and death in Season 5, the show loses its butt of the joke lightning rod. While Hickey and Elroy fill the "old guy" role, no one can succeed Pierce in his simple fool role.

However, Pierce's humour often relies on racism, sexism, and homophobia, which knocks him down a few spots.
