Community: The Impossible Jeff Winger Quiz

With such colourful and showy performances around him, it’s easy to forget that as the straight man Jeff Winger was the main character of Community.

As portrayed by the ever charming and hilarious Joel McHale, Jeff’s arrogance, snark and sarcasm was at the heart of most of his scenes but as we got to know him more we got to see some real depth to his character. His father’s abandonment issues, painful childhood bullying and fear of getting older becoming key reasons for the defensive mechanisms for why he acts the way he does.

Joel believes he’s better than reality of his situation. After faking his degree, Jeff was sent by his law firm to community college to actual qualify for real, something his ego believes he doesn’t actually need to do. However over the course of the show he finds some inner peace with who he is and the college experience turns out to be a big positive and transformative one.
