4. Danny Pudi
Danny Pudi’s Abed was one of the more popular characters in the show (amongst audiences, at least), and no one quite summed up Greendale like him. He hasn’t become a major star since Community, but he has formed a solid career for himself.
Pudi scored a minor supporting role in Star Trek Beyond, and has had a few roles in uninspiring TV shows here and there. However, it’s in his voiceover work where he’s really excelled.
In 2017, Danny Pudi played Brainy Smurf in Smurfs: The Lost Village, which was essentially The Smurfs 3. He took over the role from Fred Armisen, with the entire main roster being recast as the franchise had a go-nowhere reboot.
More success has been Ducktales, the revival cartoon which focuses on Scrooge McDuck and his nephews. Pudi has received acclaim for this role as Huey, alongside David Tennant, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan.
As is customary for a lot of former Community stars, he’s teamed up with the Russo Brothers in the the MCU too. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Danny Pudi is a SHIELD agent who refuses to betray Captain America, even at Crossbones’ behest.
