Constantine: 17 Easter Eggs And References You Need To See
8. Ibistick (Nothing To Do With The Hotels)
There's another, even more obscure, little Easter eggs hidden in the same scene where Liv picks up the Helmet Of Fate. You can spot it just in the background there, barely in focus, but yep, that's definitely the Ibistick. No, not a Pritt Stick. Or a dipstick. The Ibistick is the magical totem of one Ibis The Invincible, and the enchanted accessory is apparently a reservoir of near-unlimited power, a wand crafted in Ancient Egypt for the Prince Amentep. Which he ended up losing somewhere along the way. Oops. Locked away by the wizard Shazam (who'll be appearing in another DC screen adaptation at some point in the near future), before it wound up in the bunker of Jasper Winters it was wielded by Ibis The Invincible, published by DC's old rival Fawcett Comics. The character has since been resurrected in print in a new incarnation, the mantle being passed onto Egyptian teen Danny Khalifa, who has since had his own run ins with that Doctor Fate helmet that's been floating around the cosmos. It remains to be seen if Danny will turn up in Constantine, or just his stick...
