Crisis On Infinite Earths: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

The celestial being who foretold of the Crisis was naturally on hand for its conclusion as both he and Harbinger assembled the team who heroes who would stand against the Anti-Monitor. That's right, Mar Novu was somewhat less obtuse as he attempted to prepare the heroes (and later, the Paragons) for what was coming. Unfortunately, not even that could prepare him for the Anti-Monitor - who ended up killing him at the end of the third act.

While exploring the pair's unique history with the antimatter universe after his death was rather effective, it may have been more effective in humanizing Mar if it had come before his death. And even though his death was rather abrupt, we can't overlook the fact that the heroes wouldn't have succeeded without his (admittedly cryptic) guidance.
