Crisis On Infinite Earths, Part 1: What Does The Ending Really Mean?

2. Earth-38 Is Gone

If you thought the destruction of Earth-2 was bad, you ain't seen nothing yet.

The whole basis of the first instalment of the Crisis was the jeopardy in which Earth-38 found itself in as a wave of antimatter threatened to wipe it from existence. The tallest of tall tasks for even the greatest heroes in the multiverse, it was one that Supergirl and her team were determined to overcome as they helped as many people to safety as possible - which is really handy when your earth is inhabited by aliens who naturally own a ton of spaceships.

However, while they successfully managed to save 3 billion people by using the ships to transport them to Earth-1, they were unable to save the 4.53 billion people who remained, as Earth-38 was completely wiped out by the antimatter.

Earth-38 has been the home of Supergirl since the very beginning, and it's impossible to imagine what the Arrowverse will look like without it. Nonetheless, we're venturing into uncharted territory and it's hard to know where we go from here. One thing, however, is certain: Supergirl needs a new home.
