In Season 8 he meets a friend at a gathering who beseeches Larry to visit his disabled son in a special care home event, Larry lies about a trip to New York to get out of going.
When he runs into the same guy a few days later, asking him once again to attend the event that now has a new date, Larry realises he can’t play the same card again. He says he is moving permanently to New York for three months, something which, of course, he prefers to ‘giving back’ to the disabled community for one day.
The conniving liar is forced to relocate. It seems not even Larry David can escape karma.
