Daredevil: 10 Characters Who Must Appear In Season 2

7. The Owl

Daredevil Characters
Marvel Comics

This one might be a bit of a surprise, because the Owl was in the first season of Daredevil. In his civilian guise of Leland Owlsley, he was Fisk’s accountant. And he met an untimely end when Fisk threw him down an elevator shaft.

But Owlsley mentioned more than once that he had a son and on at least one occasion, he said that son was named Lee. Maybe Lee is short for Leland Owlsley, Jr. And after the Kingpin killed his father, maybe Lee decides to come to Hell’s Kitchen to get revenge.

The Owl in the comics possesses some degree of superhuman powers: he ingested a serum that gave him the ability to glide through the air and also increased his senses and strength, plus granted him talons. Perhaps Lee Owlsley takes this serum so he can stand up to Daredevil.

It could also lead to the introduction of a new street drug, Mutant Growth Hormone (MGH). This drug first appeared in both the Alias series (which AKA Jessica Jones is an adaptation of) and later as part of the Owl’s plot to take over Hell’s Kitchen. It grants temporary superhuman abilities to anyone who takes it and could serve as a way to get the Owl into Hell’s Kitchen.
