Daredevil: 10 Punisher Storylines For Season 2

6. The Angel Dust Murders

Frank Miller's run on Daredevil has been the main influence on Netflix's Daredevil so far, with the series adapting everything from the black ninja costume from Miller and John Romita's €œThe Man Without Fear€ miniseries to the themes of Catholic guilt, using torture to get your way and The Hand which have their roots in the writers/artist's work. With an off-handed reference to Miller's Elektra in Daredevil's first season and the grapevine reporting villain Bullseye will be a part of the second, it would make sense to again look to his work in terms of introducing The Punisher. 1982's Daredevil #181-184, written and drawn by Miller, has Murdock and Castle facing off. The pair's crossover comes right in the middle of Miller's most famous Daredevil arc (ie Bullseye killing Elektra, and Matt not dealing particularly well with it). He and The Punisher clash during an investigation of how Angel Dust is being dealt at schools, which leads to the death of some kids. The first season has some grim highs to live up to!
