Marvel have done pretty well with their casting choices so far. The thought that Robert Downey Jr might someday complete his epic multi-film contract is unthinkable, because at this point it's impossible to imagine anybody else playing Iron Man; Chris Evans manages to embody the clean-cut Yankee looks of Captain America whilst also being a good actor; Chris Hemsworth does everything he needs to as Thor (ie be muscly, blonde, and deliver Shakespearean dialogue). They've also managed to convince some actually legit actors to come mess around in their superhero business, from James Spader in the new Avengers to Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Still, there are occasional holes, like casting Christopher Eccleston in the second Thor film and not actually using him much. And...Mickey Rourke. Whileas in Daredevil they've not only got a perfect cast, but the show also makes the best use of them. Charlie Cox turned out to be ideal as Matt Murdock, dispelling memories of his foppish lead in Stardust; Elden Henson's oafishly charming Foggy is a delight; Deborah Ann Woll is a sympathetic, kind Karen Page; and Vincent D'Onofrio is the best villain in the MCU yet.
