8. Karen Burns Fisk (Episode 8, "Upstairs/Downstairs")

If you needed any further proof that Karen's a total baller, here it is.

She manages to sneak a meeting with Fisk in his penthouse, where she fearlessly explains that she was with Ben Urich (Vondie Curtis-Hall) when he paid Fisk's mother a visit, and that they pass embarrassing stories of Fisk's childhood around the office.

Fisk responds by baiting Karen into signalling that Matt Murdock is indeed Daredevil, prompting Karen to turn truly ice-cold. She callously informs Fisk that his departed confidante James Wesley (Toby Leonard Moore) died at her hand, and that he deserved more than the seven bullets she fired into him.

Fisk then flies into a violent rage, and Karen's life is saved only thanks to Foggy, who convinces the FBI team to burst into the room just in time.

Karen sure has come a long way from being the twitchy, nervy wreck she was at the beginning of the first season, huh?
