19. Matt's Hearing Impairment

When the season begins, Matt is suffering with hearing loss following the Midland Circle collapse, and though you probably wouldn't notice it if you simply watched the show with laptop audio or generic speakers, the sound has been mixed to reflect Matt's ailment.

If you watch the first few episodes with a pair of headphones, you'll notice that the sound mix during Matt-centric scenes is often only fully ouputed in the left ear, while the right channel is significantly lowered until his hearing fully returns. This is especially noticeable in the POV shots.

It's a damn subtle and clever way to convey the irritation of Matt's impairment to the audience through non-visual means.
