Daredevil Season 3: 9 Reasons To Be Excited

6. Sister Maggie's Introduction

Though The Defenders left fans plenty to pick apart when it ended back in 2017, the one tease that got comic buffs salivating was the introduction of Sister Maggie.

In the comics, Maggie is actually Matt Murdock's mother, a character who adds a rather unique dynamic to the hero's mythos. Not only is this another element of the Born Again arc that's being brought over from the comics (the character was first introduced during that run), but giving Matt an actual parental figure - especially one so reflective of his own struggles with Catholicism - will no doubt make for some engrossing dramatic threads.

Superheroes rarely have parents to deal with, and considering Matt's own origin is tied directly to the death of his father, suddenly reconnecting with his mother could transform that entire backstory - and add more personal stakes to the action to come.
