One thing Marvel is seemingly perfect at is it's casting of characters. Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, and Chris' Evans and Hemsworth as their respective characters are now so ingrained in these parts that the idea of recasting is tantamount to treason. Charlie Cox was something of a left-field choice for Matt Murdock. A British actor known for fantasy adventure Stardust and a recurring role in Boardwalk Empire, his casting was met with similar noises to the costume reveals. Boy, did he prove everyone wrong. Cox's portrayal of Matt Murdock and alter ego Daredevil is nothing short of perfection. From the dedication to getting into shape, to the nuances of playing a blind man, Cox is continually a confident and trusting presence. He may not look exactly like his comic book counterpart but apart from that he completely embodies the character. Charlie Cox *is* Matt Murdock. Thankfully, his performance has continued to impress and even somehow improved as described by Nerd Rep 'both the actor and the character have gotten noticeably better at their jobs'. With the series now less than a month away the excitement for Daredevil series 2 is massive, and from these reviews it sounds like it's going to be one hell of a treat.
