Daredevil Series 2 Reviews: 10 Early Reactions You Need To See
10. It Takes A Few Episodes To Get Going
Much like the first series, series 2 gets off to a bit of a slow start and takes a few episodes to really get going. But, to put your minds at ease, this was also arguably the case with critically lauded shows like The Wire and Breaking Bad. Slow starts are a common trait as the show needs to build the foundations to then blow the house up later on. However, Brian Lowry at Variety has even gone so far as to say that the series has an 'uneven' start and compares the first few episodes to Sam Peckinpah movies 'complete with slow-motion bullets and blood sprays'. Whatever your opinion on Sam Peckinpah's output, rest assured that after this initial stumble the series 'blossoms', with Kyle Wilson at The Nerd Repository claiming that the series overall 'moves along at a quicker pace than Season 1'. The first series showed that a dawdling start does not necessarily equate to a dawdling whole, and from these early reviews the second series picks up the pace similarly.
