DC's Legends Of Tomorrow: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Blood Ties'

3. Why Should We Really Care About Rip's Family?

Ok, that sounds really harsh. But apart from the obvious tragedy of his wife and son being killed, there's little reason for us to be invested in his story, at least from a personal vengeance standpoint (obviously his bringing these characters together is important and the key ingredient of the show). So far, though, his motivations have purely been about his wife and daughter died, but it hasn't really done anything to show us his relationship with them, or the devastation those deaths caused him to suffer. The scene with him and Savage, when the villain takes the locket with their pictures in, doesn't have all that much weight behind it, because we don't really know Hunter's family or his life with them. Still, it's a long season, so hopefully that's something they can flesh out in the coming weeks.
