Deathstroke: Knight & Dragons Review - 7 Ups & 1 Down From The Series Premiere
4. The Voice Cast Is Great
All that aforementioned family drama would mean nothing if it wasn't brought to life in an effective and emotive way, but thankfully that isn't something Deathstroke has to worry about as the voice cast does a great job bringing their respective parts to life.
Naturally, we should talk about how convincing Michael Chiklis is in the titular role. There's a grit in his voice that just fits Slade down to a tee, but it's a well-spoken grit - one that reminds us of the nuanced character (and struggling father) that he is. And he plays off incredibly well against Sasha Alexander - whose varying tones capture all of the emotions that Addie is going through with complete ease.
The rest of the cast is solid too, with Chris Jai Alex, Faye Mata, Griffin Puatu and Asher Bishop offering up convincing performances in a short space of time, while Colin Salmon's smooth and relaxed tones personify Billy Wintergreen.
A great show is only the sum of its parts and, after the premiere, it's clear that Deathstroke has plenty of them.
