The Defenders TV Show: 8 Supporting Characters We Want To See

7. Misty Knight

Can you truly have a series that features Power Man and Iron Fist without including Marvel's foxiest superheroine, Misty Knight? My opinion is no. Since her debut in the seventies, Mercedes "Misty" Knight has continued to be one of the most underrated characters within the Marvel universe. Equipped with a bionic arm by Iron Man after Misty suffered an amputation following the prevention of a bomb attack, she was granted super strength and decided to use it to continue doing good. Misty has worked with Spider-Man, Namor the Sub-Mariner, and has even roomed with Jean Grey as a supporting character in the X-Men during the original Phoenix saga. No relationship has been stronger, however, than her partnership and love of Danny Rand aka Iron Fist. Whereas Cage and Jones' relationship will probably take center stage, Iron Fist and Misty Knight will surely be the more interesting couple due to their lengthened history together. Misty would fill a much-needed gap in the Defenders lineup due to her status as a non-powered individual. Having only her bionic arm and police training Misty must rely on different tactics that characters such as Jones take for granted. However, she has extensive training in the martial arts and is definitely a force to be reckoned with. It's time Knight was given the cinematic treatment and there's no better place than alongside longtime friend and lover Iron Fist.
