The Defenders TV Show: 8 Supporting Characters We Want To See
6. Elektra
Elektra Natchios has received her share of screen-time in 2003's Daredevil as well as its subsequent spin-off named after her character. Unfortunately the character was not portrayed in a manner that was honest with her comic book counterpart and the films were far less than deserving of her appearance to begin with. Despite her previous appearances in these flop films, Elektra deserves to have her story told in a new medium. With Daredevil set to receive his second chance it only makes sense that Elektra be there at some point to both oppose and support him in their twisted relationship. Elektra would be perfect for the series as she can play both hero and villain eventually becoming the antiheroine the Defenders need to fill their ranks. While it is almost obvious that the Kingpin will play a role in Daredevil's title series if he is not first snatched up for a later role in the Amazing Spider-Man franchise as a topnotch villain the character may not translate over to the Defenders so easily. Elektra can play the happy medium being both a supporting character for Daredevil and an eventual member of the alternative superhero team. Being both a ninja and an assassin, Elektra is probably the best combatant out of anyone featured on this list. Add in the fact that she uses twin sai as her main weaponry and that she is one of the sexiest women in comics history alongside her dual nature and you have one character Marvel cannot afford to leave out.
