The Defenders TV Show: 8 Supporting Characters We Want To See

1. Moondragon

The lineup I've drawn up thus far includes some pretty heavy-hitters with a versatile range in powers. There's no better character to top off such a description than Heather Douglas aka Moondragon. An incredibly powerful telepath with extensive training in hand-to-hand combat, martial arts and the field of genetics, Moondragon is an asset to any team she chooses to be a part of. But why a supporting character for the Defenders? Like the other characters on this list she has both a comic history with the team as well as a romantic connection to one of the four founding members within the Marvel cinematic universe - Daredevil. Moondragon is an amalgamation of every character mentioned thus far €“ she has Iron Fist and Elektra's martial arts training, Doctor Strange's high level intellect and scientific training, and Daredevil and Hellstorm's edge. On top of all of this she brings something entirely new to the team in the form of her telepathy. Heather Douglas perfectly rounds off what could become a great team to rival fellow hero groups the Avengers and SHIELD. She is probably the most unique member among the team having achieved her powered status through her own personal regime. Furthermore, Moondragon is openly bisexual and €“ unlike Strange, who recently came out €“ has actually been depicted in same-sex relationships. Diversity is a true merit among any team, and Moondragon helps the Defenders achieve this status. Whether they be fellow heroes, antagonizing villains, or supporting characters in the simplest sense these eight characters would be wonderful to see onscreen alongside Jones, Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil. Which characters would you like to see make the jump into the Marvel cinematic universe? Leave your comments below.
