3. Death, Death & More Death
This season has been rather quiet on the killing front. Aside from two new characters being introduced and killed off rather quickly in the form of Zack and Cassie we have seen very little in the way of murder this season. With the show being in its final season isn't it time we got a big death in the next few episodes? The Brain Surgeon has been one step ahead of Dexter the whole season and perhaps its time he really stuck the knife in by bumping off a main character. Hannah and Deb are the closest to Dexter and killing off one of these two would certainly change the tone of the season in the last few episodes. Masuka has also secured himself a seemingly happy ending; this could well prove to be a red herring from the writers. He's such a well loved character, as is Batista, that killing them off could also create some much needed shock. How would this end it all? Well, Dexter has shown this season that he is more human than he has led us to believe and his want for vengeance for Zack could be a sign of things to come. Dexter could seek revenge, killing off whoever has wronged him and the show could end with Dexter being left a more damaged individual than how we met him.
