2. Harrisons Future

We can already speculate that Harrison will be playing a large part in the new season since Charlotte Rampling is supposedly playing a neuro-psychiatrist who specialises in young psychopaths. This indicates, quite strongly, that the show will be following the books down the path of Dexter having killer offspring. The bad news is that we probably wont end up seeing just to what extent that takes Harrison. Regardless of how much this potential development is explored, Im not expecting the season to end by showing us what becomes of Harrison in the future. If Dexters crimes become public knowledge Harrison will be scarred for life. If he ends up a killer then he may have his own story to tell (lets hope that doesnt lead to a spin off though). Whatever direction they lead him on; they wont have time to dwell on it. I dont know how it will happen, but where Dexters story arc ends, the show ends. The major problem Im expecting, however, is that we wont even be given much of a hint as to how the events of the upcoming season end up impacting Harrisons life int he short term. I imagine we will at least get a brief summary of his future. But I doubt they will explore the details of where he ends up in the wake of Dexter's downfall? Will he be in foster care? If Deb survives, she could end up looking after him. But what kind of psychological trauma will that bring? Ill admit that this is one loose end the writers have the potential to tie up adequately. But I still wouldnt bet on them doing so.
