Over the course of seven awesome seasons, Dexter has encountered a whole host of different obstacles, all of them in various shapes and sizes. Hes been closed in on more times than I care to count, been toyed with by some of his fellow serial killers, and had a few encounters with some very dangerous criminals. However, all of them have fell to the plastic sheets and table of Dexter Morgan in the end. The eighth and final season of Dexter is just around the corner and it looks as though he could be up against it more than ever this time around. With all this in mind, heres my look back at some of Dexters most memorable foes so far...
5. Travis Marshall - The Doomsday Killer (Season Six)
Played by Tom Hanks son, Colin, Travis Marshall was the main antagonist in the sixth eason of Dexter. Travis first appeared on our screens as the apprentice of Professor James Geller though we soon realised as the series unraveled that Travis had in fact killed Geller and was using him as nothing more than a cover for his own disgusting crimes. Travis reign of terror brought us some of the most memorable murders in the history of the programme. His ritualistic doomsday murders saw him recreate acts like the four horse of the apocalypse and the whore of Babylon before finally trying to sacrifice Dexters son Harrison in order to bring about a new world. Like many before him Marshall ended up on Dexters table, though as we all know Travis murder is one Dexter will never be able to forget.
Defining Moment: Murdering his sister and leaving her body in the playground of the school she worked at. Horrifying stuff.
