Dexter: Top 5 Most Memorable Foes

1. The Trinity Killer - Arthur Mitchell (Season Four)

Arthur_Mitchell_Profile Arthur Micheal, the crème of the cop. Played by John Lithgow in the performance won him a Golden Globe and a Primetime emmy, The Trinity Killer is easily Dexter€™s most memorable foe. Mitchell was the main antagonist in Dexter Season Four. Originally brought to our attention by Agent Lundy, Mitchell had been killing people using the same pattern virtually unnoticed for over 30 years. First of all he would cut a woman€™s leg in the bath, letting her bleed to death; then he would force a mother to jump from a car park to her death before finally bludgeoning a man to his death, normally down a dark alleyway. Mitchell was like an idol for Dexter, he lived a seemingly normal life with a normal, loving family whilst also managing to successfully carry out his murders without even a hint of suspicion. It was only as the season progressed and Dexter forced his way into Mitchell€™s life that the cracks began to show. A thanksgiving meal shared with the Mitchells showed Dexter and us just how truly messed up this guy was. But of course it was his final act that is forever burned into the memory of Dexter fans everywhere. Dexter, having finally managed to track down and kill Mitchell, returned home to find his wife Rita in the bath dead with her leg slit, the final victim of the Trinity Killer. Leaving Dexter€™s son Harrison sitting in poor mother€™s blood. Defining Moment: There is really only one option here: murdering Rita and leaving Harrison to be €˜born in blood€™, just like his father, ranks as the most shocking moment by any Dexter villain.
