Doctor Who: 10 Awesome Episodes For Those Weary Of Waiting For 50th Anniversary

I know there are a lot of people who don't think that the concept of this episode was original. However, I didn't think it wasn't original until I read other people's opinions-- so there! I tend to watch a show and let it wash over me rather than nitpick it apart. Not judging, it's just not how I operate. I could see how 200,000 years in the future we might still have crappy TV. Believe me I never thought reality TV would last this long and I still keep hoping rap music is a phase that will go away. But, I think it's a cool premise. The Doctor, Rose and Jack find themselves separated and inhabiting reality TV shows. The Doctor is on Big Brother, Rose is on The Weakest Link, and Jack is on a show that resembles What Not To Wear. The difference being that if you get thrown out of the house you're dead, if you're the weakest link you're dead and if you need cosmetic improvements they are downright brutal. In the end, we find out that the Daleks are involved and any Who episode with a Dalek is a good one. It's a two part episode ending in the regeneration of the Doctor and is very emotional. Christopher Eccleston's portrayal of the Doctor brought gravitas to the role that I quite enjoyed. Without his portrayal I doubt that the series would have been able to continue. Nine is under appreciated, but his final words resonate, "Rose...before I go, I just wanna tell you, you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And do you know what? So was I!"

Melita is into all things Doctor Who. She is a mother of two teenagers and has raised them to be proper geeks, just like she is.
