4. Enjoy The Doctor Beyond The Show (Including Fan-Made Material)
There are so many ways now to enjoy Doctor Who, the possibilities seem to go on forever, thanks to the internet. Interviews, behind the scenes, mini-episodes, and specials are all different ways that you can get yourself excited for The Day of the Doctor on November 23rd. Every now and again, the TARDIS will appear outside of our television screens, maybe at a concert (as in the video directly below) or news piece. Whatever the occasion, there is a way to celebrate the Doctor. http://youtu.be/ON5uV83k6wE But it's not just official Doctor Who appearances that make the fandom so fun but the fans themselves. As with any cultural phenomena that has lasted a half a century, there are bound to be parodies and homages that come in all shapes and sizes. For example, below is a viral video of the Doctor matching rhymes and beats with Dr. Brown from Back to the Future (my second favorite doctor). It's not sanctioned by any official BBC source. It's just fun and games that show love for the culture of Doctor Who (even if it's an uncensored battle that takes a few hits below the belt). http://youtu.be/xDj7gvc_dsA
