Doctor Who: 12 Fanboy Complaints That Need To Die

1. Steven Moffat Should Be Kicked Off Doctor Who Because...

We all had massively high expectations when Steven Moffat took over from Russell T Davies in 2010. We all imagined classics like The Empty Child and Blink week after week so naturally fans were always going to be a little disappointed. Many Whovians have short memories it seems: by the end of his run, fans were clamouring for Russell T Davies to leave and heralding Moffat as the saviour of Doctor Who. Now we see the same argument again and those that criticised Russell T Davies during his tenure have put on those rose-tinted glasses to reminisce about all the greatness he achieved. These arguments are always going to happen. Fans lay a long list of charges at Moffat's feet, many of which I have covered in this article, but the truth is, a few years down the line, when there is a new head writer in place, Whovians will argue that he (or she) is the cause of many, many problems with Doctor Who and reminiscing about the time when Steven Moffat was in charge. IT all boils down to one observation: if you don't like the show, don't watch it. You can always come back to it when there's a new Doctor or companion (if a particular actor isn't your cup of tea) or when Moffat has moved on to pastures new. Doctor Who is always changing, giving us a new face (literally) every few years. We're about to hit one of those major changes now in 2014. Let's see what joys (and issues), Peter Capaldi's reign as the Doctor brings to the show. Which enduring complaints about Doctor Who do you think should disappear?
